i would like help in splitting my report department wise on separate spreadsheets in excel output.
also the tab for the output should display the dynamic codes of the departments.
i am using Cognos report studio 10.
You can use page sets to split the data across separate tabs in the workbook. There are lots of posts and documentation sources that describe how to use page sets.
There is no functionality to make the tab names come out with the value indicating the content within each. It will simply be the name of the page in Report Studio (e.g., Page1 by default) following by -1, -2 etc for each tab. I think there is a configuration change possible to suppress the number suffix but that's about it.
