Historically you could change the corporate skin in order to effect global changes in your Cognos environment for all users. However, I am finding in Cognos 10.2.1 this appears to be no longer the case. Any changes I make to the corporate skin do not translate into changes in the Cognos environment, even when the preview screen in the corporate skin folder shows my changes correctly.
I can copy my corporate skin folder and apply this copy as a new style but this is not what I really want - what I want is the global style to be set for all users of the Cognos system. But I can't seem to do that through the corporate skin anymore.
Is anyone else having this problem? Am I missing something?
Never mind - my web browser had cached the settings. :P
What steps did you follow to make the changes. We've tried the setting changes in the system.xml file under the Corporate profile but the changes do not show up even after a system restart and clearing the cache for the local browser.

The easiest solution is to use Theme Designer to make the changes you desire.
Cheers!

Hi,
Where is the theme designer ? I am trying to change the default user profile > Preference > default " separator in list view" as Alternative backround. As per document it says, first time user only wil get default , for existing user this wont work. How can i make default for existing users?
