Title: Report Data Refresh

Hi, Here is the issue,
I am using cognos 8.1.2 Report studio / oracle 10g. Whenever the data is updated or deleted in the database it is not reflecting into reports immediatly. It is taking some time.

Could some one help me on this.

are you reporting on cubes? Is Oracle caching data on the RDBMS? If you run a query in oracle, next update the data and rerun the exact query again does it happen also?

One possible reason: Cognos might be caching the query (FM/Governors, "Allow usage of local cache").

Yep... that's the other option... but if I'm correct caching is limited to the current session.. Unless he never logs out it shouldn't happen...

Can you tell me what the problem was? Was it that the user never logged out?
