Hi All,

I have installed cube designer and when I log in am getting following error .
"class java.lang.NullPointerException" .
Did anyone face this issue? This is what I found on IBM website :
Error description
When a user without System administrator privileges clicks on
'Create New from Metadata' in Cube Designer the following
message is displayed:??class
java.lang.NullPointerException??List of datasources does not
appear.

RECOMMENDATION:
Upgrade to IBM Cognos Business Intelligence 10.2.1 Fix Pack 3

I am using FP2 but I am admin on my machine.

You may be an administrator on your machine, but are you running cube designer as administrator?

Thanks Grim. I tried the application by right click and run as administrator and the method you posted; still no luck.

After being added my account into Administrator role , this issue has been resolved.
