I am working on a crosstab report where the requester has asked that instead of the '1' that shows up in the crosstab report, the Effective Date shows up in the cell. I am still learning COGNOS, and have created the report, however through my research I have been unable to find any clear information on how to achieve this. I am using Cognos 10... I can get the crosstab to work with '1' and count but my goal is to have the report look like this: (basically instead of the report putting a '1' under UHC - E I want a date there.
Medical (Display Item) Dental
UHC BCBS ACO (Play Type) HIGH LOW
EE # LOC Name Eligible E ES EC E ES EC E ES EC (Option) E ES EC E ES EC

Hello - would someone be able to help me with this?
Thanks.

Willing to help, but more information is needed.
What is your data source - a cube, or relational (which one?) ?
What is the logic used to create your column which sometimes contains 1?
Also, could you post a mock-up in Excel? It's difficult to see from your post what belongs in what column!
Try right clicking the column header for 'E' and choose 'Select Member Fact Cells'. Once the fact cells are highlighted, set the 'Override contents' to Yes. You then need to unlock the cells using the blue lock in the menu icons. Once unlocked I think you can drag any data item you like in there.
I generally stay away from overrides in crosstabs because they are wonky, but it may work for your needs.
