Hi All,

we have a requirement where in we have to attach a birthday card in the mail body in event studio.

Request you all to help me with the same. if some has done such thing before, kindle guide me with the steps.

Right now whats hapenning is the report is goin as an attachment in Event Studio, but my requirement is the image should be in the body of the mail so that the user doesnot need to open the attachment.

i am attaching the image which would make my requirement more clear.

It is easy to create a report that puts content in the body of an email, see link. Can you use that technique and just trigger the report to run from report studio?

i have done it in report studio and its working fine. The reason i m trying this in event studio is, the client wants the manager to be added in CC which i feel is not possible in report studio using bursting. So trying to implement this scenario in event studio, but the issue here is it sends the report as an attachment. so was thinking if there is any way to add the image of birthday card in the email body in event studio.

I found this as well, bizarre, but maybe worth a try...."the solution to this is very weird but believe me if you leave the email message body blank ,when you are specifying the to and cc, the subject of the mail etc and chose to attach the report ,the report is displayed in the body of the message when delivered..If you type even a single word in the message body of the schedule then the email is attached.Also only HTML formats are embedded rest all get attached."

i tried the above solution in cognos version 10.2 and its working, its a weired solution but working in 10.2.
