Strange thing happend today .. finalized a report with a lot of parms on prompt page, used for column and page rendering and also some query filtering
Queries are all done on DMR model
All of the sudden all my parameters were gone from the report when i came back from lunch, no deletes of filters or other stuff, one minute it worked the other minute all sorts of errors due to missing parameters. Tried to recreate a parm by inserting a new text prompt with static values, assigned a parameter to it, all worked until I tried to use the parameter in a filter, query, report page .. gone again no way of even creating a new parameter in the report. Copied xml, created new report, same stuff, closed all connections, logged on retried, nothing helps ..
Any idea anybode please ? Been working for weeks on this report
Occasionally, I have found that an error in one expression appears to throw off the internal representation in Report Studio, causing seemingly irreparable, unrelated errors. I would check carefully and validate the individual expressions and items in your queries. You may just have one item that is throwing everything off.
If you can attach the report spec, someone might be able to spot it as well even though they cannot actually use the report without your data (of course).
Hi thanks for the tip, removed the latest filter addons and the parms where back ... recreating the new filters .. still working .. very strange sometime
