I have not found any useful answer, so I decided to start this topic. I am wondering, if there is any option to send broadcast messages to all (or selected) Cognos users but not per email (too many users and people will start ignoring these messages). Why ? i.e. the new report has beed published or there is documentation in new language version etc.
The idea is to send message, pop up etc to users at first login after "setting up" the communication.
I know, that Cognos offers broadcast to all users logged on TM1 server, but that does not do the trick.
I have heard, that BSP has some nice tool as well. But, I'd like to try something else first.
My first idea is to edit index pages and put there javascript popup window, however those can be blocked by the browser. I will try to test this solution and will give the info with results.
Any other ideas/clues are welcome.
