Title: Stitched Query in FM
Post by: mahgar on 30 Apr 2014 02:03:00 AM
Hi Gurus,

I'm new to data modelling and my team lead is on leave for 1 month.
We currently faced some issues on getting the duplicate records and many more.
I attached the data model including the cardinality and check if you can notice something that we should not practice on doing.

Thanks is Advance!!!!

If you're new to data modelling, my honest and earnest advice is that you don't touch your model until you understand the concepts and best practices of metadata modelling in Framework Manager. If you make changes without understanding what you are doing it will likely lead to inaccurate, inconsistent results when building reports - the worst possible scenario for your business users.

There is a plethora of posts on these pages concerning how to model in FM, although they all assume at least an intermadiate knowledge of concepts and the tool. I have included a small selection of links below. If your team is off for a month and you are the only resource with modelling capabilities, I would recommend you plead/beg/demand/beseech your management to send you on FM training, where you will learn enough to get you going and be successful. I'm genuinely not being flippant - there is SO much you can do wrong if you don't understand the tool and the concepts.
