Title: TM1 Performance Modeler 10.2.0.0 problem.
Post by: alex7 on 17 Apr 2014 11:14:04 PM
Dear all,

I installed TM1 10.2 on Windows 7 32-bit. When I tried to access TM1 Performance Modeler first time, I failed.
At the "Connect to IBM Cognos TM1 system" window I added http://server_name:9510/pmpsvc/services, there was only one button available "Log on as" and gives me an error message after pressing: "Unable to login to the planning server, the TM1 server may be unavailable. The application will now exit."

The same time Architect, tm1web, Cognos Insight are available.

What should I do?

Thank you.

the url to connect is likely just ...

http://server_name:9510/pmpsvc

Do you not have an tm1 servers in the dropdown (server name:)?
And if not - have you started any tm1 servers? (assume so as you say architect is working).
Perhaps there is a firewall issue? Try localhost in the admin server (since it looks like it is all running locally)
Possibly there is an issue with a dash in the server name, Ive seen issues/bugs when strange chars are in the servername ...

No

>And if not - have you started any tm1 servers? (assume so as you say architect is working).
Yes

>Perhaps there is a firewall issue?
I have turned it off but it doesn't help.

>Try localhost in the admin server (since it looks like it is all running locally)
If you mean this:
http://localhost:9510/pmpsvc/initialize.jsp
instead of this:
http://A-PC:9510/pmpsvc
It doesn't help.

>Possibly there is an issue with a dash in the server name, Ive seen issues/bugs when strange chars are in the servername ...
No it is A-PC

Any more ideas?

Thank you.

No it is A-PC

Am I being a bit slow here? Doesn't the servername "A-PC" contain a dash? Try changing it to "APC"

MF.

Hello, my local host is A-PC. Where I can find the server name you asking?

At this moment I have found out how to lunch the Performance Modeler from My Applications. But it seems like I do not have all functions there - like create new rules and TI.

When I lunch the Performance Modeler from Windows program menu - I have the same error message.

Thanks,
