Title: DPR-ERR-2008 Error Unknown Service Name SACAMSRVC-internal
Post by: tmathew81 on 04 Apr 2014 01:42:32 PM
Hello,

We had a base installation of Cognos BI 10.2.1 that was working fine. We then applied a few hotsites and fix packs to the environment, and afterwards, we encountered the following message when trying to browse to the Gateway URI:

DPR-ERR-2008

The dispatcher is unable to process the request. The request is
directed to an unknown service name: http://www.ibm.
com/xmlns/prod/cognos/sacamsrvc-internal/201301/.
     Details

CAF-WRN-2082 An error has occurred. Please contact your administrator.
The complete error has been logged by CAF with SecureErrorID:2014-04-03-
14:57:20.143-#6

I tried everything under the sun to see what could have went wrong. Turns out that there is a hotsite that addresses this issue. The build of the hotsite is 10.2.5001.1023 (the old hotsite was 10.2.5002.1003)

As told by support, the issue is related to a new service introduced with 10.2.1 FP1 that allows user session information to be replicated across Content Manager servers, so that if a failover happens, the users won't be logged out and their session info will be preserved.

Hope this helps anyone in the future.

You need to get the stated hotsite fix from IBM and install it.

Cheers!
