Title: DST Changes affecting some Scheduled Reports
Post by: StevenLunn on 04 Apr 2014 05:00:02 AM
Hi all,

The recent DST time changes in the UK (clocks forward one hour) seem to have affected *some* of our scheduled reports. The scheduled time of these reports as seen in the modify schedule screen has moved forward one hour as well, when that shouldn't happen at all.

The system time is OK but no idea why / how any report schedules changed. As an example one set of reports were running at 7am up until last weekend. But the report schedule for them now says 8am. Almost as if the DST change in Windows / Cognos has actually updated the schedule on some reports......

Thanks,

Steve

Wow! Not come across that one before! Are you completely sure some well-intentioned but less experienced person didn't "helpfully" try to expedite the process by changing the schedules manually on the Saturday before? Probably a long shot, but worth checking before you go chewing IBM's ear about it :)

Cheers!

MF.

Hi,

we seem to have the same problem. We have a scheduled job that's supposed to run every 12 hours from mid March and onwards. The start time was set to 12.01 AM.
When I look at the run history I see that the job has run 01.01 AM and 01.01 PM every day for the last three days.

Strange! My thoughts now is that DST is messing up the schedule. The first day of the schedule was on winter time and now we have summer time.

Is this a bug or what is it?
