Hello all,
Hopefully this should be a straight-ahead query...when reports enter a "Waiting" state in IWR, is this recorded or held anywhere, other than in the Cognos Administration screen? Reason for asking is that I want to be able to automate a script that will trigger an e-mail or notification to let the administrator know that there is a report waiting in the queue.
Any info greatly appreciated.

Further to this, a lot of the time reports that have been "Cancelled" simply hang around in the queue and prevent other reports from running. I know the process to re-create the job database and "flush" the queues but is there a reason why these cancelled jobs get stuck in the first place? Is there any way of implementing a root cause fix instead of following reactive steps to clear the job database everytime it happens?
