Title: How to provide access to Report success/failure without Admin
Post by: bud659 on 25 Feb 2014 07:42:33 AM
I would like to provide a person access to check that our Reports were either Successful or Failed and alert our team.  What is the best way to do this without having to provide Admin access?

Simplest thing that comes to mind is have them schedule the reports. Then they can check My Area Options>My Activities and Schedules.

But, for a user to have access to review scheduled items they need access to it see here for more info:

Thanks for the reply and the link.

Unfortunately, the scheduling is performed by the administrator and I wanted to have another power user check on the reports without Administrator role.   Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Just a thought off the top of my head... If you have the audit package installed you might be able to create a report on the report outcomes. The administrator could schedule these to run after all the scheduled activities should have finished, and email the results to the "power user".
