Title: On cognos Configuration

Can anyone please rectify this error


When I restart the service, I am getting this issue....

13:12:10, 'ReportDataService', 'StartService', 'Success'.
13:12:11, Start a External Process because the start count 1 is larger than 0.
13:13:11, '', 'StartService', ''.
13:13:11, 'com.cognos.pogo.reportservice.ProcessManager', 'pogo', 'Failure'.
DPR-DPR-1035 Dispatcher detected an error.
Accept timed out
13:13:11, 'QueryService', 'StartService', 'Success'.
13:13:12, 'buxService', 'StartService', 'Success'.
...


Please URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Is your service has started properly. The error your saying is generic. It will come, don't worry about it. Your env will work fine.

But after started service successfully, it's getting error from cogserver.log like

What could be the reason is getting this error?

I think, in your some other post Grim has suggested you to off DEP. Did you try that ?

But, When we do DEP turn off, is it wont be any issue?

I saw that If we turn off the DEP, then it would be a problem for virus..

Please let me know, CAn I do turnoff DEP with out any problem arise in Future.

Technically not sure about DEP. You can just give try, if it works or not. Then you can just check with windows team in out organization. Those people will be correct contact for you to guide on this.

Also you can trust Grim, many times he suggested correct solutions.

Yes, Even I tried and followed what Grim has Suggested.

Anyhow, let me try that way too..

CAn you please tell me the solution which I have posted in an another thread as subjest name is Cognos.
