Title: [FM] What is a non Conformed Dimension
Post by: dxwallace on 31 May 2007 09:24:36 AM
Can someone explain the concept of a non-conformed dimension to me. In the Framework Manager user's guide, it talks [on page 225] about an non conformed dimension being added to one side of a structure. I can't understand is the [order method] dimension non conformed or is the whole structure non-conformed and why.

thanks

Nevermind, I got my answer by looking up a conformed dimension which is"

" a single dimension that is delivered once, using a dimension build, and can be shared across multiple data marts."

Resourceful; where did you go for the definition?

Thank you for taking the time to post the answer.  All too often we find our answers, solve our problems and forget our friends at COGNOiSe.

I went to the COGNOS knowledge base and found it in one of the Data Modeling user Guides, Data Manager I think. I was looking in Framework Manager initially and that is where I could not find it.
