Title: How to use regular dimension level as unique level
Post by: inu on 06 Dec 2013 10:09:45 PM
Hi

I created one regular dimension in DMR model, where i need to select "unique level". but i dont have idea regarding "unique level", which should be associated with a particular  level of the regular dimension.

I have gone through user guide Framework Manager in chapter 5 "Dimension" topic, but not mentioned clearly about unique level, or i might did not get that.

please  dont refer to the same place.

Consider a date dimension with the year and monthnumber (1-12) . The year is uniquely identified, but the monthnumber is not unique, as - for instance - month 3 occurs in each and every year. So the monthnumber can not be designated as unique, it requires the next higher level to create a unique combination

Hi
I saw a video , where there ware 4 levels in a hierarchy viz
1. year
2. Quarter
3. Month
4. Date

What they did, set "unique level" for  "Date" level itself. Can we set Date as unique level. It is also a non-repeatable data....

    Thanks and Regards
