Title: Contributor error
Post by: Dev1975 on 03 Dec 2013 10:23:34 AM
Hello everyone,

A Customer is trying to open a contributor project and gets the following message displayed:

Could not open the editor: [CCLMsg: system text='Argument value is null']

I have referred the Customer to IBM TechNote article 1506957, which they have followed, however this has not helped resolve the issue. With respect to the TN, option #2 suggests altering the "Persist Contributor Web Client Settings", however this was already changed to address a previous issue. There is a third option in that list, "OFF", would this have any side-effects if it were enabled?

Any information/guidance is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dev

Hi Dev,

By setting the persisted setting to OFF, the custom layout the customer may setup (nested dimensions, rows, etc) will not be preserved between sessions or nodes.  I would recommend, before setting the persist setting to OFF, to re-generate the background XML file that is used in the persistence feature with the current setting of Client.

Refer to Solution B of the below TN:
