Title: Informix Data Source on BI 10.1.1 vs 10.2.1

Hi,

In the process of upgrading to BI 10.2.1. Data source is Informix ODBC (All configured and tested in Windows)

On the new data source screen only 'Informix Dynamic Server' is available on 10.2.1.
On 10.1.1 'IBM Informix' was the source type. This is no longer there.

On testing my original data sources on 10.2.1, while it says compatible, they now fail with Dynamic Server.

Can anyone shed light on this change and what needs to be done to connect the original ODBC data sources with 10.2.1?

Hi,

Have you tried using the regular "ODBC" connection from Cognos 10.2.1?

Hi MF,

Yes I have.

The Informix connections require a service that we add to the services.msc file.
The standard ODBC has no facility to add this.

This is now logged with IBM.
Supported environments states our version of Informix (11.5) is supported for OBDC using iconnect 3.5 or greater
There is just nowhere to enter it in the configuration that I can see
