Title: Is there a way to put at the beginning of a macro to open all cubes as Read Only
Post by: jimicron on 23 May 2007 03:24:26 PM
Hi all (again),

I have a macro that does several exports into .csv files and was wondering if there was a way at the beginning of my macro to put everything into Read Only mode or right before each d-cube open/export pair of lines to put that open into a read only?

I'd like to do so because since I am doing exports only, there is no need to be in Write mode so in case someone is doing a calc in the model, if I have this macro set up as Read only, it won't bomb the calc that is running (which in our case, some can take up to 1.5 hours).  Also, it will save multiple clicks asking if it is okay to open cube in read only?

Thanks again!

JIM

@CheckAccess for checking, whether cubes are open can be almost a  solution.  ;)
