Title: Importing Functions in to Framework Manager
Post by: HDA on 01 Oct 2013 03:37:30 PM
Hi, Can anybody tell me how we can import functions in to Framework model ?

I tried importing it like we import other tables, but I cannot see it in Project Viewer window or  Available objects window. Please help.

What database? Do you see the options for functions and procedures when selecting objects, just nothing under them, or do you not have the option to import them? Does the logon being used with the data source have permissions to the functions/procedures?

I don't have a suitable model in front of me to give you exact steps, but you should be able to use them with some caveats that are listed in the framework manager user guide. Search it for "stored procedures" and you should get a hit.

I have been caught out by this before. When you import functions, they do not appear in the metadata tree on the left. Double-click the namespace you imported them into and you will see them as icons in the Explorer tab.

Cheers!
