Title: How to move one report to new installation

Hi all,

Currently i have insatlled  cognos 8.4.1 and cognos 10 running fine in same machine, now i want to move particular reports from cognos 8.4.1 to cognos 10.
How to move particular reports to cognos 10 v ( one or two reports)
I need to use export Deploying Selected Public Folders and Directory Content option ....?
Please advise.

welcome.

but if you want o back up the whole content, select the second option, and it would be better to select the checkbox as well, means export all user information as well. in this option you can back up all reports and packages in both public folder and users' personal folders and even user list.

Do not use a full content export if you do not have. There is little or nothing to set for such an export. Use it only to populate an empty Cognos instance. Migrating single reports is best done by copying them into a special folder in the root and importing the export where the accepting instance has the same folder in the root.

You can also do this using the Motio 3rd party app. Make it much easier.
