Good day guys,
I am new to Event studio. I had requirement to schedule report daily and weekly. After the ETL load a flag will be populated in the DB with load date.
So I have to start the schedule today from 12AM to check for the flag = 'Y'. When the date flag is populated in the Database , I have to kick start the jobs.
I set all the parameter for an test job.
Event condition : flag = 'Y'
task : run a report with default prompts and date = flag_date ( so it will fetch last load date)
execution rules : new and ongoing events (all ongoing events)
Schedule agent :start today and never ends . Frequency is every 1 day
I schedule the job on last Friday to run every day. But, the job ran once on Friday and it never run again.
What am i doing wrong in this schedule?
How to make the schedule run every day and kick start the job when the ETL load is done?

I'm not sure I'm understanding you correctly however it sounds like all you need to do is schedule the event to run through the scheduler in cognos connection just like you would for a report.
