Hi Cognoise friends,
I have about 115 reports which has same columns drill through to same 2 target reports. Lets say ColumnA drills through to ReportA and ColumnB drills through to ReportB.
The problem is when i migrated the reports from test to Prod, the drill through location is still pointing to the Test location, I need it to point it to new location in Prod.
Updating all the 115 reports with 2 drill through each is exhausting and time comsuming, at first I have to re-point the drill through to new location of target report in Prod then again assign all the values, such as opening the report in new windows, output format, drill through on particular column, pass data item value etc.
Is there a way in Cognos 10 to update the drill through target link for all the reports in a single step ( using SDK probably ??)
If not, at least is there a way to retain all the Drill through properties such as opening the report in new windows, output format, drill through on particular column. Then I would just have to update the drill through link to target report. (saving time and effort :) )

Hi Slim,
Well you don't need SDK to do this. This is what I would do, first take backups. Then try this approach with one source and target report.
Step 1) In Cognos connection goto to the Target report and click on more.
Step 2) Click on move to move report to right location where it should finally reside.
Step 3) Repeat same steps 1-2 for Source report.
Step 4) Open the Source report in report studio and the drill thru should be intact and with the new loaction.
If this apporach works than you move the rest of the reports as need starting with moving all of your target reports first. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the suggestion RKMI, unfortunately my Cognos Test Environment and Prod Environmen are on different servers, so I cannot move the target report from location in test environment to location in prod environment, same for source reports :(

Hi Slim,
Thats fine, I'm guessing the folder structure in both environments is similar between them, so I would suggest doing the changes in your test environment and then follow it with a deployment from test to prod of the reports, that way existing reports stay intact, than you might need to do a clean once all in sink. Hope this makes sense. It might be a little time consuming, but better than the manual apporach of reestablishing the drill through's also would keep you safe from some tricky bit of SDK work if there is that solution.
