I have dorp down which created using HTML & javascript. I wnt to pass se;ected value of dropdown to datitem of report.

The drop down is created using HTML not the value prompt ; how do i pass the selected value to report?

Perhaps a parameterized URL is what you need. It sounds like you have a prompt page that is external to Cognos so you would need to launch the desired tool, such as the Cognos Viewer, to call your authored report passing in the externally determined prompt selection.

what version of Cognos are you using? 10.2 or lower?
