When I tried to open a report with RS, I found the the popup window hangs there forever. Please check the attached image.(cognos 10.1.1, firefox; 17.0.1, 17.0.6, 23)
Is there something related to browser setting? I have tried some options but still not work.
I did not see this problem when using IE.

That may be because of Pop Blocker.
In Firefox...
Tools --> Options --> Content (tab) --> Block pop-up windows
either you have to deselect the Block Pop-up windows or click on right side Exception button there you have to provide the site name in Address of website Box and click on Allow button. And re run the URL.

majorly that problem with Popup Blocker only try to change some settings in your Firefox. may be java script disabled...

If I use the ip address to access the gateway OR use the FF privacy mode, it will be ok.

cognos support only the ESR version of firefox
