Hi,
can some one please guide me through Javascript API COGNOS 10.2?
My requirement is to provide search option with the value prompts to enable ease selection of values from the long range of values listed in the prompts.
please help

Why not just use the search and select prompt?

Hi,
My requirement is to select from a list of values displayed. My understanding is search and select prompt enable user to type in a value that will displays all related choices underneath.

Do you want something like a match-the-selection-as-I-type feature? If the dropdown is in focus, that capability is already available.

Otherwise, I do think search and select makes the most sense for a truly long list of values and is more user friendly.
