Title: Radar Chart(s)
Post by: willg on 01 Aug 2013 10:54:07 AM
Hi all,

I know this is going to seem like an extremely simple question but I cannot figure it out..

In a radar char say you wanted 4 different values to display on a scale from 1-10 how would you do this?

For example in a radar chart what is the 'default measure' used for? What are the 'categories' used for? And what are the 'series' used for?

I have never used radar charts before and tried a test chart with 5 data items, where I placed one as the default measure, and then the other 4 in series/catergories. But this didn't work.

If anyone can give me a little background of how to use Radar charts/what each section does it would be really appreciated.

Cheers,
Will.

I always find them difficult to read...is the radar format the best one to use?

I'm not entirely sure, the reason I want to use them is that I have been assigned a task to create a chart out of various performance measures (a score /10, or a percent /100) so I thought that a radar chart seeing as it can have multiple axes would work perfectly
