Title: Uniqueness violation when changing label
Post by: tyody on 07 May 2007 09:02:45 AM
I have a level in a hierarchy that uses a code as the source and a description as the label.  I changed the description name (label) but kept the code the same and got a uniqueness violation.  Why would this cause a uniqueness issue if the code remained the same?  I have the label refresh property checked.

So the category code is forced to some unique value?

The code is unique because it is part of an alternate drill down path.  I'm fine with the code being unique - but why would I get a uniqueness violation if the only thing that changed was the label?

It shouldn't. That's why I am surprised too. Could you attach a screenshot of properties for the level causing uniquness violotaion?
