Title: Impromptu 7.5 Fix Pack 2 installation
Post by: sinstadt on 21 Jun 2013 04:32:32 AM
We have just had Impromptu 7.5 Fix pack 2 applied and since doing this all our multi select prompts are only allowing single select.  Creating a new multi select prompt - eg Product Type in (?Product Type?) only returns a single select drop down.
Has anyone else encountered this? Have we missed something obvious?
thanks.

I've just encountered this issue myself. Did you find a solution to it?

Thanks

Sounds like IBM broke something with the fix pack.

Hi ...Just curious if this got resolved.

We are moving to Cognos 10.2 this summer, but we are still running quite a few reports in Impromptu 7.5.  We applied the fix pack and now Impromptu doesn't see our user defined functions.

Anyone out there using this fix pack that solved these issues (prompts, udfs)?  If so any feedback would be helpful.

Thank-you

I think this is something you should log with IBM support. Sounds like FP2 has broken a few things?

Hi - We have found a resolution from IBM site for missing user defined functions in Imprompt 7.5 Fix Pack 2.  See Below.

Database UDF Not Available
Technote (troubleshooting)  http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21336698

Problem(Abstract)
Oracle user defined functions (UDFs) are not available, despite having made the proper changes to the

Cogudfor.sql

Impfunct.ini

Orfunct.ini files

Resolving the problem

In addition to changing the above files,
you need to rename the Orfunct.fdt (for oracle) file.

Close Impromptu, rename the Orfunct.fdt file, and then restart Impromptu.

These are probably located in folder:  C:\Program Files\Cognos\cer6\data\bin

rename all orafunct***.fdt to something else.

example:

rename orfunct_rdcr 10g.fdt  to  orfunct_rdcr 10g.fdt.SAV

did you find a fix to allow multi selection prompts?

I have installed this on two windows 7 computers and one works fine and the other lost the multi-select.
