Title: Impromptu crash
Post by: dean on 30 May 2013 04:09:26 AM
Hi.
Impromptu admin installed 7.5 FP1 on w7 32bit with oracle 11g client.
Have had no problems in connecting to oracle for the past 6 months, yesterday impromptu admin started crashing on verifying credentials against oracle!!
Have tried deleting impromptu.ini file and checked nothing has changed in the environment variables - no success....
Has anybody had this and managed to resolve it at all? or any further ideas on what to try??

Nothing has changed, same setup on another machine works fine! So must be something local to this pc :-\

The oracle client libraries are local to the machine. I would try reinstalling them on the PC and see if that gets you any further.

Crashing or refusing to authenticate?

If you have some application that you or others use that is for this database and you give it the same login and password, you may have an issue with that.  Possibly the server may require you to change your password every six months or if your login is idle for six months, your login is disabled due to non-use.
