We are using Cognos 10.2 and most of our users only have access to Powerplay Studio.
I have a complaint that in Cognos 7, they could click on the cube hyperlink and launch Powerplay but in 10.2, they have one more step of selecting Powerplay Studio from the Launch menu. If the click on the cube package, it just opens the package folder and doesn't kick on Powerplay Studio.
Is there a way, if I user only has access to one Studio, to have that studio automatically launch when they click on the cube package and not have to select the Studio from the Launch menu.

The easiest thing to do is to create a "Default Crosstab" report for the package in PowerPlay Studio. Save this in Cognos Connection, then modify its properties so that the default action when clicking on it is to "Open with PowerPlay Studio". Direct your users to this report rather than the package folder, and that should give you what you need hopefully.
