Title: Apache Tomcat/4.1.27 Error

I am running a report that has multiple drill thrus.  When I hit the Return link on the top right hand corner sometimes it goes to the previous page of the report and others I get a HTTP Status 404 Apache Tomcat/4.1.27 error.  There seems to be no consistency whether I an in the first drill thru or the third.  Any one else seen this before?  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What's your maximum memory in MB setting in Cognos Configuration for your CRN service? ie: is it a large configuration at 1.5GB?  Anything of relevance written to the tomcat.log?

If it is Windows don't go above 1152.

Although I don't have an answer for you on this, you can take comfort in the fact that you're not alone.  We're also struggling with this random error being thrown by the Cognos server.  We're seeing random "Invalid HTTP request" errors.  Sometimes it occurs in the "Return" link, other times its in drill-down links.

We're aggressively pursuing this on our own.  Cognos support hasn't been able to solve this for us (I've even sent them a video clip showing it's occurrence).  We haven't found a reproducible pattern yet - it's just a matter of minutes navigating through drill-downs before that error pops up.

If we come up with a solution, I'll be sure to post it here.

Anything in the server log files? Tomcat and Cognos? What is your acceptCount and maxPorcessors set to?
