Cognos : 10.1 from TM1 cube source
I have a report and it is working without any issue (drill down is working) for the users who have acccess to all of the data in the cube. But when a user runs this report with limited access ( few cost centres and few products) the drill down functionality is disabled, even the drill down is set on the accounts. I am a bit puzzled as if I add a filter(prompt) to select and go to next level (used descendants to next level) , the report runs for this user and he can see the data from the next level without any issue
Anybody have experienced this and or any possible reason. [ we have security on Cost centre and products ]

This is happened for one of the test user cretaed for the development testing and somehow this test user is missing in any of the Cognos licenced groups (like consumer, analysis studio etc)... who know who have done this :) when we added the test user into the consumer group the drill down functionality is working without any issues
But, now my million dollar question is how the report was working for the test user even when he is not in any of the licenced groups bar contributor... Is the contributer licence enough for using the reports ...but why only the drill down and drill up is missing in this
