We began getting the following error this morning when we try to open any of our Cognos Planning products:
The user is already authenticated in all available namespaces.
Any idea what this means?

This is a fairly common issue, but it has many possible causes and fixes..
1. Are all users affected?
2. Is this a planning only environment, or is there also BI present?
3. To confirm, when you attempt to access cognos connection, along with the CAC and Analyst you receive this message?
4. Presently, in cognos configuration on your primary content manager, navigate to the Authentication Item, and confirm what the Allow session information to be shared between client applications value is currently, True or False.
Fixed the issue by restarting services across all app servers.
