Hi All,

We are upgrading from Cognos 8.4 to Cognos 10.2. Reports are migrated from 8.4 to 10.2. While testing the Date Prompt in 10.2 it is in format of "10 Feb, 2012", but in Cognos 8.4 it where in the format of "DD/MM/YYYY".

We are able to change manually in reports by changing the default setting to "DD/MM/YYYY". Prompt values displayed in the report still showing the format of "DD MMM, YYYY".

Do I need to change any setting in the Server side to change the date format for Date Prompt.

Hi,

So your data item showing by default is "DD MMM, YYYY"?

Did you check you prompt page and see if the use value date format was set in 8.4. It looks like you have not provided the date format in 8.4, can you try to change the data format for the date prompt by changing the date pattern to "DD/MM/YYYY".

RKMI - Where do I supply the date format for a date prompt?

I think you didn't understand to msgokul. I have the same problem, did you resolve that problem msgokul? We need set date items for all reports (in the server side), not for each one.
