Title: Stacked 100% goes upto 120% why?
Post by: Phil Scottow on 01 Feb 2013 06:26:48 AM
Hi using a stacked 100% in C10 is always showing to 120%. if I pass in 4 values of 25 the graph shows them as 30% each. any ideas what I have done wrong

It's not 1st April today, it's 1st February! :) Just as a quick sanity check, if you select the column icon in the Series area and look at the properties of the "Bar", what is the Series Type property defined as - Stacked or Stacked 100%? My first thought was that maybe you had a manual axis value set with 120% as the maximum, but further reflection made me realise this would only affect the axis and not the bar itself. Can you post your report spec? I'd *really* like to see this one!! :)

Cheers!

MF.

HI MF
Sorry cant post report spec. I can confirm this is a stacked 100% and its not 1st April. The Graph is dual axis, The primary axis is a Line chart, type Clustered. The secondary axis is bar stacked 100%. for both axis, the axis range is set as Max = manual = 1. min = manual = 0. Major interval =0.1.

I seem to remember this happening to me once, but as it was more than five minutes ago, I can't remember the details.

Is this happening with the new charts or the legacy?  Is this a dimensional or relational? Are you using a single item in the series box, or are you constructing the chart using multiple items? Can you reconstruct the problem using the samples? If so, can you please tell us the steps to reconstruct it?

Hi
Is this happening with the new charts or the legacy? New Charts. its a Combination Chart, Primary axis clustered bar, secondary axis clustered line.
Is this a dimensional or relational? DMR data all attributes set as Attribute in FM, maximum values are used within the report.
Are you using a single item in the series box, or are you constructing the chart using multiple items?  There are multiple items on the Clustered Line Primary axis  and multiple items on the stacked 100% secondary Axis.
Can you reconstruct the problem using the samples? I have not tried this as I dont have a suitable environment for them yet.

For the life of me, I can't recreate the problem.

Are the items in the stacked axis all individual members from the same hierarchy? Are they nested or arranged as peers? Do you have any items from different dimensions?

Try recreating the chart step by step. Set up the categories, measure, then series. Check it for both regular stacked and 100%.

Resolved
Hi Paul
Thanks for the help, I have resolved this although not entirly sure how. The things I think happened were: axis range minimum value was set to automatic. I changed it to 0. I set the chart maximum to 100 from 1 ( this bit just sent the chart to show 1000%) chart was then set back to 1 for maximum and it started showing correctly.  :-\
