Title: ORA-20002: Unable to locate the EBS Authenticated user/responsibility specified
Post by: pravin.cognos on 18 Jan 2013 09:53:52 AM
Dear Gurus.

I am using Cognos 10.1 and Noetix as view generator and the DB is Oracle R12.

When I am trying to access a DSN in FWM, I am seeing the below error. I am not able to get any useful info online. Can you please let me know what is the reason for this and how can this be resolved.

RQP-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlUpdateAttach' status='-9'.
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation "update attach".
ORA-20002: Unable to locate the EBS Authenticated user/responsibility specified for this user XXXX
ORA-06512: at "APPS.XXNAO_MAP_USER_APPS_INIT", line 78
ORA-06512: at line 2

Thanks a lot in advance.

Pravin

Hi,

The Oracle error "ORA-20002: Unable to locate the EBS Authenticated user/responsibility specified for this user..." sounds a lot to me like the user ID you are logged in to Oracle with does not have relevant access. The message is coming back from the Oracle side rather than being anything within Cognos.

Good luck!!

MF.

Pravin,

Could you please let me know if you have fixed this issue. We are having the same issue with our environment now. We are using Cognos 10.2.1 FP3 with Noetix views generated using Noetix generator.
I think this might be an issue at the DB level. I have opened a PMR with IBM. But, i couldn't get much help from them
