Title: Planning migration
Post by: philelmousse on 14 Jan 2013 05:09:01 AM
Hello,

I will have to migrate planning application and planning job to other servers.

An ibm consultant will make the installation of cognos. I plan to make an "export model and data" of my explication and import in the new servers. Is there anything else to do ?

Thanks

Hey Philelmousse,

Without knowing much about your environment, the deployment export 'model and data' is a best practice for migration topics.  You'll also want to use the deployment wizard from the CAC to move the analyst libraries (in the same deployment as the applications, or a separate one), along with the admin links, and macros in the CAC.

You'll then want to test all of the normal processes your users would normal use during a normal work period.  Make sure the applications work, automation processes work, links work, etc.
