Title: 65000 rows in Excel
Post by: alf on 10 Dec 2012 04:56:20 AM
Hello,
i have produced a report in Excel2007 but when reaching 65,000 stops and keeps in a new sheet....Is there a paramether to control this because what i would like is to have all in one sheet in excel 2007.
Thanks,

Forget friends, i have just read that in Cognos 8 works like that and only in Cognos 10 you can change a paramether.
Solution could be to obtain in CSV and then open in excel.

It is a limitation in Excel 2007

It's not an Excel 2007 limitation, it's a limitation in Cognos 8 to maintain backward compatibility.
So you can generate Excels over 65000 rows only in Cognos 10 which support native XLSX format.

The workaround to export the result into CSV can't work if your report contains crosstab or chart because CSV is a text file which can't store graphical information.

Sorry but that's the case

Thanks a lot norkos !!
so it is possible to use CSV to extract huge information from a List Report...isn't it?
