Hi Guys,

I have a problem connecting to the data source in Cognos 10.2.
The Data source is a DB2 9.7 running on Linux and the error that I receive is:

XQE-DS-0006 Unable to logon to the data source. [jcc][t4][201][11237][3.64.82] Connection authorization failure occurred. Reason: Security mechanism not supported. Errorcode=-4214, SQLSTATE=28000

We are using JDBC to connect. Is there any particular connection string or additional libraries needed?

Hi,

Either you are missing some libraries or you need to check dbm cfg file in DB2.
Also, can you provide the environment details, like OS, Application Server etc.

Is this issue you are getting in CQM or is it only coming in DQM?
