Title: Auto Save project before publishing
Post by: kris123 on 23 Oct 2012 05:25:56 AM
Hello,
Just wondering whether Cognos should save the project as part of publishing implicitly or not.

Is such auto save  "nice to have" or very much required?

what if you publish after creating a few relationships and framework manager crashes?

Technically, if you do NOT save before you publish, it will publish the last saved version, which will not include the changes you did after you saved it last time so you should save first and then publish.

I dont think so.
Can you please try creating a new model query subject or create a relationship and publish without saving. I think the changes are visible in studios before saving.
