Title: How to count Calculated Member elemets
Post by: alex_ on 12 Oct 2012 07:18:42 AM
Hi everyone,

I have crosstab and should to count Calculated Member elements. Count should be dis-played in the report. But not to display the values in Calculated Member, it should to count the elements themselves that are displayed in the report.

When I selecting this element, and click Count (in Summarize/ Count), restive the fol-lowing message: 'The objects selected represent a single value. No summary is per-formed for this object".

I guess should be used JavaScript or any other technique. But haven't idea.

In the attached screenshots I showed how it should look /of course should not look the same, but have such functionality/:

Thanks  :)

How about a query calculation that is coded with the following expression:

total( 1 within set [Your Out of Target Metrics Item])

Does this give you the result you need? I'm assuming you are using a dimensional package?

Thanks MFGF for the good idea.

It shows all metrics. But I need only the filtered.
Do you have idea how to display only filtered?

Thanks!

I don't follow what you mean, sorry. You haven't mentioned anything about a filter before. Are you using a detail filter somewhere? This can givevery unpredictable results ina dimensional report...
