On any Balanced Scorecard, there could be a scenerio that all KPIs are not driven from organization Corporate Applications databases and there is a need to capture some data from manual data entry.
I would like to know , how is the data captured for the KPI's which are not having any operational data source in the organization. We have to capture them eventually to report on them into the Balanced Scorecard and Dashboard.
Which tool is used to capture such information and bring it in the BSC.
Would be greatful, for the company's have come across such situation which is very normal, I guess and how they have handled them.
The Metric Studio portion of Cognos BI, among other things, provides a method of distribuiting data entry of target values via a web interface out to business users.

Or if you don't have Metric Studio (or even if you do) you could use a spreadsheet either directly as input to the dashboard, or as input to an ETL process. Or create an app that lets someone update a table in your warehouse.
Are you actually talking about KPIs or data to support those KPIs ? As tjohnson suggested, Metric Studio lets you capture some data (standards to be measured against actuals).
You can also capture the data into an Excel file and build a cube or even use that Excel file in Framework Manager and then use that in your scorecard. There are various ways to capture data.
