Can we have crosstab and charts as master containers in a master detail?
Unlock the report and you can put graphs and singletons into various locations in an xtab. Charts don't support any data containers (besides the various markers,notes and baselines).
I've heard wild and crazy rumors that there is a way to embed other types of data containers in crosstabs in versions previous to 10. 10 and up has better XML checking so any shenanigans involving manually modifying the report XML won't work. Not that I would ever recommend copying the report to notepad, and copying a list xml to inside the contents of a xtab node. Nope, never.
(Seriously, don't do it. Upgrading will be a nightmare)
