Post by: kris123 on 27 Aug 2012 03:29:32 PM
As part of objectives for COG-612 the below is mentioned

Focus reports (12%)

Describe how to focus reports using filters
Describe how to focus reports using prompts

what is focus reports using filters?

Also the last item is

Manage events using agents (6%)

Describe the use of Event Studio in Cognos 8 BI

why Cognos 8 in Cognos 10 exam?

"Focus reports" means to narrow down the data presented to a specified subset, focussing on the user's requirements for data and ignoring the rest.

The second item is a typo, I think :)

Yep thought as a copy paste error (IBM forgot to change 8 to 10).

another objective

Describe how to create the query model.

Is this related to Framework manager?

Also is "query model" and "model query" the same?
please advice.

The query model is the main objective of your modelling efforts in Framework Manager. It is a collection of query subjects, relationships, query items and layers, built in such a way as to produce accurate, consistent reports at runtime.

A model query (subject) is one type of query subject commonly used in this process.
