Post by: ersin.gulbahar on 27 Jul 2012 03:39:51 AM
I have conditional style 1 . And I want to give it to another . but when I click contional style on block and 'Use Existing Condional Style' is not clickable. How can i fix this? but one big problem is there : two blocks are different queries.

Hi ersin,

one way is the conditional style (that came new in cognos 8.4 or 10)...
the OTHER way would be (which i recommend) to create a Variable, e.g. boolsche variable, define an expression (such as [revenue] > 0).
THEN you can use this variable in all boxes, lists or crosstabs, independtly from the query.
Click on the box, then go into the property pane (left down side under toolbox) and select in variable your new boolse variable.
Then click on the var. explorer and select "yes"...the explorer pane gets green..and your free to format your box and lists and columsn and so on as you  want.
cheerz :P
