Title: How do I import a User Defined Function into FWMGR?
Post by: sleepy on 02 Mar 2007 04:54:35 AM
Does anyone know how to import a User Defined Function (Ive created in Oracle) into a Framework manager model.

Im currently using Cognos 8.1 and the database is Oracle 10g. Thanks.

Hi,

Use the Metadata Wizard to import it from your database.  You should get the choice of tables, views, Stored Procedures, Functions etc.  Just select the user-defined function you require.

Best regards,

MF.

Thanks MFGF ... that helped greatly.

Do you know if its possible to DELETE user defined functions from a FWMGR Model once youve brought them through ... I added 5 and have realised I only need 1 of them ... and want to clean up my model.

Cheers,

Hi Steve,

You need to use the Explorer to locate the functions in FM, then you can delete them.  The functions are not visible in the Project Viewer on the left.

Best regards,

MF.
