Title: Contributor GTP Process Fail 8.4.1 SQL Server 2005
Post by: bi4u2 on 29 Jun 2012 10:15:35 AM
I get this message every time I GTP (see attached). However the GTP does go through and the Reconcile job does kick off.

I searched on the error and there are entries related to pre-production errors, but none on post-production error. I found something that said to drop the publish containers and re-add. That makes me real nervous as I have put a lot of hard work into modeling out the planning tables and building report studio packages and reports.

Hey bi4u2,

The post production process of the GTP step is working with the publish containers and updating the package permissions (if you have 'create planning package' selected during the GTP wizard).

You can try simply refreshing the reference to the publish containers in the CAC which -will not- remove them from the database server.  If you go to Tools > Maintenance > Validate publish containers, you can delete the reference your application has to the publish container, but this will not delete the container itself.  Once you are done with this, you would go back into your publish configuration for that application and re-add it.

*Note: You will want to make sure you know how your publish was setup prior to deleting the reference to it in the CAC.
