Title: Clickable Options?
Post by: karla_mendez on 20 Jun 2012 10:35:56 AM
Hello,
I'm an intern, new to Cognos, learning report studio to create an active report to display on the iPad.

Can I make a table row clickable? If not, can I make text clickable? Or, can I change the look of a button so it doesn't look like a button?
I want to make it where, when you click on any table cell in a particular row, it'll interact with a deck and shift to a different card.  I understand how to do it with a button, but I don't want it to be a button necessarily.

If anyone could provide some help, or link to a guide that shows me how to do these things, that'd be great. Thanks!

Hi,

A good place to start is the Active Report Cookbook - it has lots of great info and tips and techniques on authoring Active Reports. You can find it here:

Good luck!!

MF.

Thanks for the link. I actually read that guide already and did the exercises in it. It was a good start, but it doesn't answer all my questions.

I see how I can make a single cell list into a custom button as an option, but just want to see if there are other options before I do that.
